BTV will broadcast live the class lectures of a number of Dhaka's famous schools.
The Programmes would be televised on the national TV from May 22, education minister Nurul Islam Nahid said at a press briefing on Sunday.
The programmes will showcase lectures on three subjects for the ninth graders on every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 9:10am to 10am.
Initially, chemistry lectures from RAJUK Uttara Model School and College, English from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, and mathematics from Govt Laboratory School will be telecast, said the minister.
Gradually, the number of institutions and subjects will be increased, the minister added.
The minister also said that television sets will be distributed among a few schools in remote areas to facilitate their students to watch the programmes.
Education secretary Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, personal secretary to the prime minister Nazrul Islam Khan, additional secretary S M Golam Faruk and BTV director general Kazi Abu Zaffar Siddiqui were also present at the press briefing.
