SSC, SSC VOC, DAKHIL EXAM will be begin on Feb 1

This year, the examinees will sit for the examinations under 10 education boards — eight general ( like Dhaka, Rajshahi, Comilla, Jessore, Chittagong, Barisal, Dinajpur, Sylhet ), one technical ( BTEB ) and one of Dakhil.

Some 1,315,002 students will sit for this year's SSC examinations, which are 75,000 more than that of the previous year.

The SSC (Secondary School Certificate), Dakhil and SSC (Vocational) examinations under eight general education boards, Dakhil and Technical boards will begin on Feb 1 and will continue till Mar 10.

The examinations will be held in 2,181 centres.

Dhaka Education Board chairman and president of inter-education boards integration committee Fahima Khatun told bdnews24.com that the increased number of examinees showed that this year there were less dropouts.

Fahima Khatun said 308,098 examinees will appear in the examinations under Dhaka Education Board, while 130,688 under Rajshahi board, 116,400 under Comilla board, 130,638 under Jessore board, 76,959 under Chittagong board, 61,828 under Barisal board, 48,527 under Sylhet board and 125,922 under Dinajpur board.

She also said the examinations schedules have been prepared keeping in mind the World Cup Cricket fixture so that the cricket matches do not coincide with the examinations and the examinees can watch the matches without any interruption.

Last year, the number of examinees was 1,206,019. The number of Dakhil examinees is 239,711 and 83,431 in vocational examinations. source: bdnews24.com
